Gabrielle Painter has performed throughout Europe, the Far East, Canada and the United States as soloist, chamber musician and leader. Her concerto performances range from Beethoven to Szymanowski and Lou Harrison. A passionate chamber musician, Gabrielle is the violinist of the Szabo Piano Trio and has been a Guest Artist at the Banff Centre for the Arts and numerous concert series including the Chichester Festival, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine (NY) and the Mostly Music Series (Chicago). Equally dedicated to teaching Gabrielle has given performance classes in universities throughout New York and Canada and at the Royal Academy of Music and is currently teaching at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Gabrielle studied with Diana Cummings at the Royal Academy of Music and completed her Doctorate of Music in May this year at the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she was a scholarship student of Mitchell Stern.
